Introduction:
Welcome! I've provided therapy for people (individuals and couples) for over a decade and offer help for a wide range of issues. Some of my areas of specialization are anxiety, phobias, depression and low self-esteem, relationships, trauma, body image and weight.  In addition, I'm effective in helping clients better manage stress, particularly stress related to life transitions, career, health problems, creative blocks, perfectionism, and procrastination.

My therapy style is supportive and very interactive. I provide a confidential, judgment-free space where you can feel accepted, heard, and safe enough to freely express your thoughts and emotions. While exploring your issues in depth, my priority is to always remain focused on you achieving your goals.

Therapy can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your overall needs while finding practical solutions to problems. Therapy can help you identify any unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving that may lead you to feel stuck, lost, and unsure of who you really are. Although people seek therapy for many different reasons, people frequently come with complaints of feeling weak, overwhelmed, incompetent, unworthy, and "not enough". This can get in the way of experiencing genuine happiness and can often leave you hopeless about your life.

As your therapist I help you identify and modify these false beliefs and develop healthier, more realistic perspectives. You'll discover your unique strengths, innate resources, true potential and inherent wisdom. With improved self-awareness and more confidence and sense of self, you can connect more authentically with others and drastically improve your relationships overall. You will feel empowered to make healthier choices and create positive, lasting changes that lead to a more fulfilling life.

Sometimes a shorter-term and more solution-focused therapy approach is best to learn specific skills to address your problems, as this can provide more immediate relief. Other times therapy may involve a longer-term, in-depth and gradual process to achieve your goals. Since everyone has different therapy needs, I'll partner with you to determine what your specific needs are and tailor the therapy to your unique situation.

People seek therapy for different reasons and the choice to get professional help can understandably be daunting. If you're reading this then you have already taken that first step. I believe that discovering your true potential and becoming the best version of yourself is possible and I look forward to being your companion on that journey!

Andie is a professional, smart, and genuinely-caring therapist that I strongly recommend. She actively listens and seems to meet each patient's individual needs and concerns. Some sessions were more challenging than others, but I left each one feeling better (as if we were making progress towards my goals) than before the session started.
