Introduction:
I believe anyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. Happy, healthy, individuals are open to experience, able to identify and acknowledge their feelings, live in the present, trust their inner urgings and intuitive judgments, and can trust their ability to make decisions, while striving for self-fulfillment.  Sometimes, because we are human, we need help getting to this place in our lives.  Through a collaborative effort with your therapist this can be possible for you. I am here to help you on your journey.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I currently have a private practice in Roseville, California where I treat individuals, couples, and families.  I specialize in Parenting, child and adolescent issues, and families.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with Psi Chi honors, at California State University, Sacramento along with a Master of Science in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling.  I began my career in mental health working with children with Autism.  I provided in-home, one-on-one, behavior and language therapy and trained new aids in therapy techniques.  I earned my 3,000 internship hours at two prominent non-profit agencies in Placer County.  One provided me the opportunity to work within the school system to provide individual, group, and play therapy to children and adolescents. The other gave me ample experience working with a diverse population with a wide variety of problems which included; Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Learning Disorders, Disorders in Childhood and Adolescents, Substance Dependence, Psychotic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Self-harm, Relationship and Career Problems, Grief, Parenting Difficulties, Abuse and Trauma, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and more.  I provided therapy to individuals (adults, children and adolescents), couples and families, along with leading a Parenting Group and a Divorce group. I also filled in for various groups such as Anger Management, Perinatal and Domestic Violence. I have extensive experience working with the Child and Adult System of Care in Placer County and parents and children involved in Child Welfare Services.  In addition to providing therapy, I have facilitated in the Human Services Department at a local University.

She is HORRIBLE!!! Let me Repeat that.. HORRIBLE!!!!

She was my ex's and my counselor during our divorce..
AND she was the counselor for our 3 young kids during this same period.

I believe there was a breach of ethics by doing that..(or at least a breach of common sense!!)

PLUS... get this.. she was going through her OWN divorce during that time. (who am I to speak, but i have no doubts of why!)

She was VERY biased, and fed thoughts and words into the kids. I was AGHAST at what the kids said after meeting with her.

I felt she sided with my spouse (of course) and my spouse was 'ok' with her. but we BOTH agreed she was doing more HARM than good. My spouse and I both agreed we didn't need someone to take sides and pit one against the other. We needed someone to give us BOTH the straight scoop...
"husband.. .stop being an @$$".. "wife... stop being a B.."
Slap us both upside the head, then tell the kids 'despite the divorce, your parents are good people and still love you'..   But OHHH NOOO!! She HAD to take a side.. can't eat if people don't come back for counseling.. let's keep it going..    and to pay for dessert.. gotta keep the kids all screwed up so they keep coming back.
My ex and i get along great now... we REALLY needed someone to help get us to that point.. but when a 'trusted' professional is keeping the fires burning.. that took WAY longer than it needed to.   An EPIC FAIL for her.

Choose someone else, and let her scrounge through cans to find her next meal!!

PS - i'm not a counselor, but let me say it straight.. during a divorce you WILL find fault with your spouse.. and all of it will be PETTY stuff. Tensions are high, and each are jockeying for position over the other.. for the money, for the kids, and to let the world know it is THEIR Fault!!  but.. when reality sets in.. it's both of your faults, and sometimes, xxx  happens.. it sucks, and life altering.. but you WILL survive.. there are sooo many divorced people.. you'll find a TON of new friends!!  Just get through it.. and move on... THAT is the message every counselor should be saying.. who cares who spent the savings or cheated with the young hottie.. get through it quickly and as painless as possible.. and LOVE your kids..   Damn.. maybe I Should have been a counselor...??   Anyway.. try to find one who uses THAT mantra.. GOOD luck!
