Since the last review Gary has moved to a new office on Federal Hgwy and NE 62nd Street which is very nice, clean, easy parking, quiet, and homey. I found him to be an excellent therapist who helped me with pain and gay relationship issues. He did such a good job that I no longer need therapy. When working with my partner his observations went both ways as far as "taking sides" is concerned. You reach a point in a discussion where it has to go one way or the other. You both can't be right or wrong. Learning how to compromise was one of the things he helped us both understand. We have more discussions as opposed to arguments at home now and after a certain point we reach a compromise we both can live with and then move on. I am glad the previous reviewed found a therapist they like. I was lucky to find one that worked for us the first time around.

Dr. Traub has a nice demeanor and at first appears to be a good listener. If you are seeking help as an individual, Dr. Traub would probably be a good choice. However, I would not recommend him for couples therapy. My husband and I had minor communication issues that we thought might be helped with some couples therapy. We met Dr. Traub and thought he would be a good choice. Unfortunately, he wasn't. He listens a short while before siding with one person, and making the other feel attacked. His sessions resulted in worse arguments and disagreements at home, because he would defend one persons behavior and disregard the other partener as having insecurities. He is looking to run up your bill. Thankfully, we both noticed this before we allowed him to ruin our relationship. We are currently seeing a new therapist that we are both very happy with. I would suggest you seek out a Dr. that you are both comfortable with and that is able to be impartial when listening to, and addressing the issues you present.
(His office is also VERY dirty. There is what appears to be a break room right next to his office that literally has garbage lining the floor.)
