We took our child to Dr. Poysky for an evaluation.  He provided a diagnosis and a letter for school for accommodations. During the evaluation phase, he always told us that we could call him or visit him if we needed support with our child. He also said that we should go back for a follow up closer to the end of the school year. During the school year, we sent a few emails to the doctor with a few questions or to let us know if we needed an appointment and we never heard back from him.  We took our child back to the office close to the end of the school year as the doctor had requested.  The doctor asked a few questions to see how things were going. When he saw that my child hadn't made that much progress with the accommodations, he told us that we had very few choices.  1)do nothing 2) medicate.  He said that nothing that we could try (natural medication, diet, tutoring, extra support) could help.  We try to explain other concerns that we had about our child's behavior to him and he wouldn't even listen to us.  He focused on the diagnosis and really made us feel like we were wasting his time. Like he had already told us what we needed to be told and there was nothing new he could tell us. Twenty minutes into the appointment we were wanting to leave because we didn't feel welcomed there, even though he was the one that asked us to come back for a follow up. So if you need a diagnosis, you will probably get one here, but if you expect support, I suggest you look elsewhere.
