I don't want to go into specifics for fear of being identified, but I was really disappointed in Dr. Butler. He seemed like a really mice guy, but there were a few things that I simply found intolerable. Just for starters, and I really cannot go into detail, but I felt like he was pressuring me to see him WAAAAYYYYY more often than any other professional agreed was necessary. (And believe me, I checked with my referring therapist and my other physicians.) I know he is just starting out and may not have a huge or lucrative client base, but a little honesty would have been appreciated, and I never felt that I got that. In addition, he had a very "salesman" like attitude and on my first appointment was trying to SELL me on more visits than I knew I needed as well as starting additional therapy involving my husband when we are madly in love w/ each other and have a super-strong relationship, although he was unable to articulate WHY he thought more visits and visits w/my husband were even necessary in his opinion. I mean, he is a pleasant-enough person, but I had 1 initial meeting w/him only and was just creeped out for these reasons and more. Also, he inadvertently made a very personal and sensitive comment about the patients that he was treating right before me, which I just found to be terribly inappropriate b/c I clearly saw them as they walked out of his office. I don't know, there are actually several more reasons, such as his inability to return phone calls within a timely fashion, but I am petrified of what he would do if he did discover my identity, which is pretty frightening when you have these concerns about a therapist, of all the different types of providers.

Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend that you look elsewhere as he was just not interested, experienced, or professional enough, in my personal experience.
