I found Dr. Friedman to be argumentative, to the point that we could not have a productive session. She spent the majority of the session fixated on a moot point, arguing with me about it, even when I gave her the same answer, over and over again. She insisted that we had to continue on this topic before we could move on to anything else, and that we would not be able to explore any other topics until "next time." Her argumentativeness was not the motivational interviewing common to CBT - it was just arguing and being fixated on something irrelevant. I will not be returning to her. I felt she was rude and did not listen. I do not want to pay her another $175 to receive very little help.
