I treat couples and individuals, specializing in sexual and relationship problems, sexual abuse and PTSD, as well as depression and anxiety.  I know that it takes courage to make that first phone call. Having empathy and even a sense of humor, when appropriate, helps my clients with this initial step.  I work together with my clients to identify and change dysfunctional patterns of thought and behavior.  My style is warm, direct, and interactive.

I strongly believe in empowering my clients by engaging them in a collaborative partnership.  This includes careful assessment, mutually developing treatment goals, and sharing the plan and method of achieving their desired changes. My clients have told me they appreciate a respectful, egalitarian approach, and my open and accessible style.

Insurance:Medicare, Blue Shield My practice otherwise operates on a fee-for-service basis, which means that payment is due at the time of the appointment. Many PPO and POS insurance plans will reimburse some portion for treatment by out-of-network providers. Although I do not deal directly with any insurance company, I do provide all my clients with a statement of charges, payments and necessary codes should you wish to seek reimbursement for my services on your own.
