Dr Hales has been a lifeline for me. I came to her after my daughter was tragically killed in a traffic accident 2 years ago. She has a balance of skills, knowledge, compassion, and professionalism that I’ve rarely seen. I have recommended her to several people—something I do not do very often. She’s particularly well trained in jungian phsycology—which I have found immensely helpful. If you’re willing to do the work, you will reap great rewards from working with her.

Be careful. Several years ago I had the most unpleasant experience with Dr. Suzanne Hales. I was involved in custody battle regarding my 13 year old daughter because she had been verbally and physically abused by her stepdad which had resulted in a black eye that lasted about a month. I agreed along with the ex-wife to have Suzanne Hales as the counselor-little did I know how unethical, unprofessional and biased she really was. It turned out she was receiving referrals from the ex-wife’s attorney-the same place the ex-wife worked at.  Since the beginning of our sessions Suzanne told my daughter that she MUST return to her mother’s home-she intimidated her to the point of making her cry and become scared.  I believe Dr. Suzanne Hales failed to protect a defenseless child who had been physically and verbally abused by making my daughter go back to where she had been abused. It wasn’t until I secretly recorded one of our sessions that I was able to have Dr. Suzanne removed through a court hearing in Collin County. It seems to me that she pursued her own selfish interests so that she could continue to have a good relationship with this law firm where my ex-wife also worked. Thankfully, the judge awarded me custody of my daughter soon after all the information was presented to him. But the damage had already been done, my daughter who is now an adult refuses to have any interaction with any counselor because of this very unpleasant experience with Dr. Suzanne Hales. Be careful.
