From someone who has suffered from severe anxiety, depression, mild OCD and dyslexia my entire life, finding Maggie four years ago was a true God sent. Having seen three therapists before Maggie, I was expecting more coping mechanisms and “quick fixes” to help me mask my symptoms and feelings from the outside world to get through the day. I was wonderfully surprised and thrilled to find out that wasn’t the case with Maggie. Yes, she provided coping mechanisms, but at the same time, worked on identifying triggers, ways to reframe my thinking all while getting to the underlying reasons of where and how I suffer from these disorders. I found Maggie very easy to open up to and share my most inner thoughts and worries. Never once did I feel judged. A couple months back I started doing Neurofeedback with Maggie which was a game changer. Neurofeedback has almost rid me of my anxiety and now in situations that would have sent me spiraling out of control for weeks (without me even realizing), I experience little to no anxiety. And, the anxiety I do experience I’m able to handle now because of Maggie. Neurofeedback is painless, and I highly recommend it. I’m so thrilled that Maggie added Neurofeedback to her practice.

A couple weeks ago I had a long-time friend tell me “I feel like I’ve seen this impressive evolution in you over the last couple of years....a journey of grace under fire, maturity, growth, self-definition, strength and overall beauty in knowing yourself” which is all do to Maggie. For the first time in my life I feel in control of my emotions and thoughts.

I began working with Maggie when my anxiety was at an all time high. My previous therapist wanted to put me on medication but I refused. I found Maggie and it was truly one of the best things I've done for myself.  Maggie gently and patiently helped me find better ways to live my life instead of always hitting the panic button. While there were many things that Maggie was exceptionally good at, the one that made a big shift in my life was her ability to believe in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. She was compassionate and non-judging and I felt safe with her. I've been to other therapists but she's was the best and she brought me a very long way from my anxiety.  Today, with my yoga practice and her words still living in my head (that's what we anxious peeps tend to do) I know that I have the strength and courage to make a different choice and find the peace that lives inside me when all hell breaks loose.  Working with Maggie will be one of the best choices you will ever make in your life, I am sure of this.

Maggie helped me through the loss of a pregnancy and anxiety. I had a lot of ah-ha moments over the 10 months I saw her. I went to Maggie for the duration of my second pregnancy, overcoming anxiety and opening my mind to new thought processes. I credit her with allowing me to have an easy, stress-free pregnancy and ultimately ridding me of my anxiety. She was super easy to talk to and had amazing insight to offer. I am so sad she's leaving the state, but am so lucky to have had the time with her. I'm not even looking for a new counselor currently because I've been feeling so good since my last visit with her over 2 months ago!
