Dr. Fraga's staff was most helpful in setting up a series of appointments with my 80 year-old wife of 57 years, now becoming afflicted with problems of aging.  The doctor reached out to meet her at her place of assisted living.  At the first session I was favorably impressed by his low key thoughtfulness, knowledge of age related problems and medicines.  His approach involved a lengthy history/medical history questionnaire that he put to use in assessing her condition.  His summary after two visits with my wife was constructive and provided tangible ways to make life better for her and our whole family.  I found Dr. Fraga highly professional, competent, genuine, caring.

Legally Defined as Morally Depraved

Beware!! Dr. Michael A. Fraga is legally defined as morally depraved. It is my understanding that the local district attorney's office will not use Dr. Michael Fraga as an expert witness due to his easy impeachability, due to Dr. Fraga's status as a convicted felon guilty or crimes of moral turpitude. Dr. Fraga has been determined to be a "danger to himself and others" as per the California Board of Psychology. 'Prior conviction of a crime of moral turpitude is considered to have a bearing on the honesty of a witness and may be used for purposes of witness impeachment.' People v. Wheeler, 4 Cal.4th 284, 295-296, 841 P.2d 938, 14 Cal.Rptr.2d 418. Below are links to three cases involving Dr. Fraga that outline his extensive criminal history. In the Hans Reiser murder case from Alameda County described in the second link, Dr. Fraga attempted to discredit the testimony of a six year boy who witnessed his murdered mother being carried down the stairs in a garbage bag. Dr. Fraga never met with the child. I believe Sonoma County's families deserve more respect, and should not be encouraged by the SCBA or FCS to involve themselves with an individual legally defined as morally depraved. As you are probably well aware, an unethical expert witness has a financial incentive to distort the truth in order to encourage one party or the other to call him back in order to impeach his testimony, which then requires the 'expert' being paid even more. Can Sonoma County families afford this? Below are hyperlinks to internet court documents confirming Dr. Fraga's criminal background and work testifying on behalf of murderers and child molesters.

In my case, Dr. Fraga violated ethical standards as set forth by the American Psychological Association in offering an opinion on mental status and child custody WITHOUT EVER HAVING MET PARENT OR CHILD!  Dr. Fraga has made his living testifying on behalf of over 50 suspected murderers and child molesters.  The California State Department of Worker's Compensation determined Dr. Fraga is unfit to be a Qualified Medical Examiner due to his well-established history of professional misconduct, lying on applications, stealing cars, dealing cocaine and controlled substance abuse.

Crimes of moral turpitude are acts of baseness, vileness or depravity in the private and social duties which a man owes to his fellowmen, or to society in general, contrary to the accepted and customary rule of right and duty between man and man.  You owe it to yourself to avoid this individual as if your life depended on it.
