Miriam Bunton has a difficult time respecting her clients' boundaries, particularly when it comes to discussing traumatic experiences. In my last appointment, I caved in and talked about an incident I wasn't ready to discuss, only to be accused of lying about it. When I pointed out how inappropriate her response was, she became hostile and defensive.

I don't believe Miriam Bunton is a bad person, or that she is completely incapable of providing help to some types of clients. However, if you are a survivor of rape or domestic violence, I strongly recommend seeking a different therapist. This especially applies to survivors who have already been traumatized by people refusing to believe they were raped, or that physical abuse in their past was "that bad".
