I am a Clinical Social Worker and Certified Neuorfeedback Provider, Licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland.  I also offer individual and group supervision.

Since receiving my Masters from The Catholic University of America - National Catholic School of Social Service, I have been practicing psychotherapy for over a decade. I have continued with post graduate training and received a Post-Graduate certificate in Clinical Supervision from the Washington School of Psychiatry. In addition to working in the private practice setting, I have experience providing therapy in schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics and residential treatment facilities.

In my fourteen years of practice, I have worked with individuals (both children and adults), and families. I have clinical experience with ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and social skills. I have extensive experience with school-aged children struggling with learning and/or emotional difficulties, divorce and grief.

Recognizing that each patient is an individual, creative and unique, and that all deserve an opportunity to be happy, successful, and enjoy life, I foster a caring and nurturing approach with an emphasis on the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each patient. My clinical approach utilizes a strengths-based perspective, allowing for personal strengths to aid in recovery and empowerment of each individual. As a result, treatment promotes hope through the exploration of precedent successes as positive building blocks that serve as the foundation for growth and change. This perspective not only identifies and resolves conflicts, but also offers proactive solutions to reduce the recurrence of problematic behavior and builds resiliency. Promoting trust in self allows for the work to continue outside of the therapy office.

Because I am trained in a variety of therapies, I am able to select a treatment approach which best meets the needs of the individual. This client-centered approach creates a climate of safety which supports those with whom I work in making desired change. Whether individual, group or family, my clinical services are designed to provide further insight into the personal struggles, provide learning opportunities, and to encourage commitment to making life improvements.

My psychotherapy practice helps adolescents, adults, and families through effective, therapeutic interventions based on individual needs.
