My clients often come to me feeling angry, depressed and disappointed with their relationships, careers and their lives and are at a loss as to what to do about finding a new, more productive life plan. Working together with clients within a supportive nurturing relationship, I help them articulate their feelings more authentically as they find solutions to improve relationships in their lives.
My training/fieldwork in Miami and New York allow me to tailor treatment that utilizes a combination of psychodynamic approaches, cognitive behavioral and motivational enhancement therapies for work with adults experiencing depression and anxiety; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues; substance abuse; grief issues; relationship concerns; and unresolved childhood wounds.

I have found that when people truly engage in the process of therapy, they can experience healing, acceptance of themselves, stress reduction, personal growth, and increased fulfillment. I admire peoples' courage to open up their lives in working toward self improvement, and I'm honored to aid them in this journey.
I also run groups for high functioning individuals who want to come together to discuss areas of their life that they find dissatisfying. The Relationship Process Group allows individuals to explore their thoughts/ feelings about being in relationships with others. People who are appropriate for this group are individuals who find themselves stuck in relationship patterns; feel alone/misunderstood; can think more deeply about relationships; want to feel more connected to others, but find themselves pushing others away; find themselves attracted to people that hurt them; and/or feel worthless or have self-esteem issues. Sessions are confidential and a nurturing, non-judgmental atmosphere is encouraged. The group meets weekly for 50 minutes. I meet with any potential group member for a screening/information session.

The Gay Men's Group Therapy is a psychotherapy group that also meets weekly. This group provides a safe space for gay men to discuss a wide range of concerns, including sexuality, relationships, depression and anxiety, and self-esteem, among other topics. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about this group. The day and time of the group will be determined by the availability of its members.
