Loved her at first. I saw Suzanne for many, many years. I trusted her with my life. Something changed with her; personally. I don't know what happened, but she wasn't as honest with me or outgoing.  She started to cancel appointments, to be gone for a week, then weeks and then a month.  She claimed it was personal issues, but I think it was insurance reimbursement too. If she was having personal issues, there are steps to follow for Counselors according to the Ethics Codes.  A Counselor is to NEVER abandon a client, betray his/her trust or put their needs above the client's needs. The counselor is to get assistance and if necessary to REFER their client to someone else, not drop them cold. SHE DID THIS TO ME AND MAYBE HER OTHER CLIENTS. I think she lied to me about retiring and is still practicing.  I think she only wants self-pay clients; no insurance, but wouldn't be honest with me.  NO ONE wants a counselor who LIES and BETRAYS YOUR TRUST.
